The power switch has three settings of on, off, and reverse and is recessed so it will not be pressed accidentally while in operation. There is also an integral footswitch for safety reasons. The 1206 stand included is a sturdy tripod complete with a useful shelf plate that is convenient for other tools or pieces of pipe while you are working. The Ridgid 300 can also be converted into a portable threading machine to make it an extremely versatile and cost-effective piece of equipment.
